Happy New Year!!!
It has been a while since I've added to the blog, we have just been so busy!
We had a wonderful Christmas with just the three of us... (six if you count the zoo as well!) For New Years Mom, Dad and Bro Wolfe came to visit us. Actually, we're pretty sure no one comes to see US anymore, just little Macie! Anyway, it was a lot of fun and Macie was of course spoiled by her Gram, Grandaddy and Uncle Matt!
Pep has been busy with work, most of you already know that he is now a Mortar PL. He seems to be enjoying it so far! I will be starting my own thing later this month too and I couldn't be more excited. I will be joining the Tastefully Simple company as a consultant, but more on that later.
Macie had her 4 month appointment on December 29th and weighed in at the 6th percentile at a whopping 11lbs!!! That's not quite double her birth weight, but they say she is doing very well. Her height is in the 50th percentile at 24 inches. They also told us to start her on rice cereal and gradually progress to veggies, and then fruits. We are giving her a tablespoon of rice cereal at night and no more. At her 6 month mark we will be trying out veggies - no sooner than that! We will be trying Barley, and then Oatmeal later this month so hopefully she will enjoy those as much as she enjoys the rice. Last night she finished her bowl of cereal (with careful spoon steering on my part) in 6 minutes! She is pretty good at keeping the cereal in her mouth. (Maybe I just can't tell because it's white - I guess the real results will come in when we try out carrots!!!) Other than that Macie is doing just great. She is sleeping 12 hour stretches at a time, and her afternoon nap is starting to become longer. I think the book by Dr. Marc Weissbluth "Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child" has helped us out a lot!
Unfortunatly I can't post any pictures because I'm on the computer in the dining room (we moved our furniture around again!) but I will definitely get some more pictures up soon!
Hope everyone's 2010 is wonderful!
Pep, Leonieke & Macie!
